sensory input...ego that's lost in transmission

Is the images we hold in our head an act of divine creation or is it simply random collisions of local thoughts that act to form a individual perspective? I would argue the thoughts and vibrations of others influence my thoughts however my individuality is shaped more during the reception outside thoughts. When I receive conscious energy from others that are operating on different vibrational frequencies I feel what seems to be a vibrational discord between the two frequencies. This discord or static in the transmission is what I would venture to say creates this idea of the human "ego". The Ego is something that is created through a misinterpretation of conscious energy.
This brings up a fundamental question of what exactly is the inputs of our senses. If we construct our senses from some type of input and our reality is localized within our minds, what is the nature of the sensory input? If you create your own reality in your head where does the idea come from and why do so many share similar realities if the possibly of thought is infinite? Or is it not infinite and only an influence of surrounding thoughts mixed with inputs of thoughts from your higher self?
